Juventus has defeated Fiorentina in a Serie A match played at Juventus Arena on Saturday. Juventus won the match by 2-0. This was 17th victory for Juventus in the ongoing league.
Juventus had a rusty start in the match, but, after a few minutes, the Bianconeri got into their rhythm and put their opponent under pressure by playing some great football.
Claudio Marchisio who was playing his 200th match for Juventus could have given his side the lead, but, his low, flat shot went wide of the net.
Juventus eventually got the lead in the 20th minute. Mirko Vucinic was the one who found the net with a wonderful shot. This was Vucinic’s sixth goal in the ongoing Serie A.
Juventus got up by 2-0 just four minutes before the half time break. Arturo Vidal went past three Fiorentina players before passing the ball to Alessandro Matri who only had to give it a finish touch and he did that wonderfully.
In the second half, Juventus approached the match in a different manner. It seemed that they were content with their 2-0 lead and they were trying to prevent the opposing team from scoring.
There were no goals scored in the second half and Juventus ended up grabbing all the three points.
The manager of Juventus, Antonio Conte, looked very happy with how his team played in the match. Talking to the reporters after the match, Conte said, “It was really a very good outing by the boys. Yes, we could have scored a couple of goals more, but, it’s the victory which is the most important thing. So, I am very happy.”
Juventus will face Siena in its next match. That match will be played on Sunday at the same venue.

The Bologna manager Stefano Pioli has said that his team will be attacking from the first whistle when they take on Napoli during this weekend. This is one of the tough matches in the season for Bologna due to the fact that Napoli are looking to win the title this season. They are one of the title challengers along with Juventus and they are just a few points below the top of the table. Despite the intimidating nature of the opposition, Stefano Pioli has confirmed that his team will be attacking from the first whistle in order to maintain their recent run of good form.
The presence of the former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino has worked wonders for the club, as they have slowly risen of the table to a mid-table position right now. It is incredible considering that they were struggling near the bottom of the table at the start of the season following a poor run of results, but the squad has settled and the results have started coming. They go into the match against Napoli during this weekend unbeaten in the last three encounters. Napoli, meanwhile, are currently third in the table 8 points behind leaders Juventus after a recent blip in form.
“We must not and cannot just clam up and defend in Naples. If we play like that against the big clubs, then sooner or later we get punished. Attack is the best form of defence,” said the Bologna manager. Signed on a season-long loan deal, the former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino has been in great form in recent weeks. He has scored six goals and the 16 appearances he has made for the club this season. They are 13th in the Italian Serie A table after having taken 18 points from the 17 matches.

Nicklas Bendtner’s loan spell at the Italian club Juventus will not be coming to an end according to his agent. The Arsenal striker, who is on loan at the Italian champions for the rest of the season, recently suffered an injury that will keep him out of action for up to 3 months. He has also undergone a surgery after suffering this injury during the match against Cagliari. Even though Nicklas Bendtner has not been one of the first-team regulars since making the season long loan deal move in the summer, Juventus are short of striking options.
They are also unable to bring in high-profile replacement for Nicklas Bendtner in the form of Radamel Falcao or Mario Gomez. Hence, they are likely to keep the 24-year-old Danish striker till the end of his loan spell according to his agent. The striker has spent the last few seasons on loan deals at various clubs after falling out with Arsenal and their manager Arsene Wenger. He was widely expected to move on a permanent basis in the summer, but could not find a suitable buyer. As a result, he has moved to Juventus on a season long loan deal, but is yet to open the goalscoring account for the Italian club in more than eight matches.
“Juventus are a professional club and no one from the club has discussed this idea [terminating his loan] with me. No one from the club has so much as tried to contact me and it will not happen. They will not end Nicklas’ contract and even if they wanted to, they could not do it. It is impossible. I do not understand why so much is being made out of every story about Nicklas Bendtner. To be honest, I think it is pathetic,” said his agent.

The Juventus striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is currently on loan till the end of the season from Arsenal, has said that he wants to score Champions League goal for Juventus this season. He has said that the match against the Danish club Nordsjaelland will be a perfect opportunity to score the first Champions League goal for the Italian club. Even though they are relatively newcomers to the European competition, Nordsjaelland have done extremely well up until now. However, they are prone to letting a few goals at the back.
Nicklas Bendtner has not had the best of starts to his Juventus career after finding himself largely on the bench since signing from Arsenal till the end of the season. He has accepted the fact that he is at a new club and has to fight for an opportunity. However, he is confident that the club will be able to see the quality and talent within himself and pick him on a more regular basis in the future. He has said that a goal against Nordsjaelland will do him a world of good. The fact that Juventus will be missing the services of the striker Mirko Vucinic could mean that Nicklas Bendtner is picked for this match.
“I want to score my first Champions League goal for Juventus,” said the Danish striker ahead of the match with Nordsjaelland. Despite the domination in the domestic league, Juventus have found it difficult to dominate the European competition in the same way. They could only manage a draw against Nordsjaelland in the first match. Any repeat of the same scoreline will be hugely damaging to the hopes of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League. Chelsea will be facing Shakhtar Donetsk in the other group match knowing that they should win at all costs.
